Desirable Plants: ‘Adventures with Fancy Foliage’
– the subtleties of form and colour in leaves which make the difference between an average garden plant and a great one, all illustrated by interesting perennials and bulbs.
Julian, a botanically inclined nurseryman is a life-long plantsman who started out in academic botany and caught the garden plant bug while doing research at Ness Gardens in the 80s. He and his wife Sarah ran their small Totnes nursery, for 20 years but they have now scaled back to two e-mail lists of choice plants per year.
Our membership includes keen amateur gardeners, professional horticulturalists and those who just enjoy beautiful plants and gardens. We organize talks in the winter and garden visits in the summer. The annual subscription remains unchanged at £20. Visitors are welcome (suggested donation £5). For more details telephone 01235 850381 or email judy@tiggercat.me.uk
