Heavenly Host
Discover Dorchester Angels this Christmas!
From 3rd December a heavenly host of angels will descend on Dorchester. These lovely small knitted angels will be found all over the village – on landmarks, trees, in pubs or perhaps even appearing on your doorstep
See how many Dorchester angels you can find, photograph them and share your discoveries on Facebook
You can even take one in for Christmas and put it onto your mantlepiece or Christmas tree to remind you of the role angels play in Christmas or perhaps of a loved one you have lost but wish was with you for the festive season.
This project is linked to our Realms of Glory angels exhibition in the Abbey from 22nd Oct to 6th Jan.
Calling all knitters/crafters!
Would you like to make some angels for this project?
They can be any colour or design but need to be no more than 4″ high.
Please include a loop or tie so that the Angel can be put somewhere safely, ready to be found.
Angels need to be at the Abbey by 10.15am on Sunday 3 December as the angels will be dedicated at the 10.30 service that morning, which everyone is most welcome to attend.
Simple patterns can be found on the right hand side of this page
